Pretty Pretty Please?

Every year around this time, I start hating winter. By March, I'm ready for spring! I see shorts and flimsy dresses at the mall, hear of seventy-degree weather in other parts of the country, and read posts like these that make me wish for warmer weather... and yet, here in Massachusetts, it's been snowing for the past ten hours with no sign of stopping any time soon. :( So, inspired by my recent trip to sunny Maryland this past weekend (it reached eighty degrees while I was there!), here's a post filled with all sorts of spring-like goodies. A girl can dream, can't she?

Floral dresses are my favorites! I would love to add this gem to my closet, although it's a bit out of my price range for a casual dress.

I love this suit! It also comes in white, but I can't find a picture. This may be my sixteenth birthday present.

This is just a taste of my spring wishlist - in reality, it includes many, many more shoes. :) I think my favorite spring staple is the dress. I could wear dresses every day of the week and never get bored! I've been pulling out a few of my favorites this winter and layering them with tights and a cardigan (à la Blair Waldorf,) but it's just not the same. What's on your spring wishlist?

I'm having camera issues, which means no outfit post for today. I'm wearing a red leopard-print deep v-neck tee by Realitee, tucked into American Eagle skinny jeans, a navy cardigan by Zara, and chocolate brown boots.

The Devil's in the Details

When I was in middle school, I liked to make sure that each outfit I wore had some sort of detail that made it "pop." Of course, my attempts to apply this self-imposed rule tended to look mildly ridiculous - for example, I'd pair a red tee with a white skirt and decide to throw a bright green striped tank top over it, giving the overall effect of a Christmas elf.

Now, I still have a minor obsession with details, but I've learned to tone it down a bit. In this outfit, I love the pattern on the sweater (and it is so soft!), the dainty cut-outs on the tee, and the way the multiple silver bracelets look together. Also: Barbie pink nails - too much fun! These details still make the outfit special, without going the overboard Christmas elf route. :)

I decided to step it up a notch and wear heels today - no pun intended. True, they're not much different than my typical black flats, but I like the extra inch and the pretty round toe. Also, I'm still on the hunt for my next pair of neutral casual shoes. Any suggestions?

French Connection has been one of my favorite labels for a long time, so I was very excited when I saw this skirt from their S/S08 collection. I love the print; they have a dress with a similar print in their S/S09 collection that I've been eyeing here. As a bonus, I found the skirt for $30, marked down from the original $128. Not bad, right?

I paired this outfit with my favorite black tights (Nordstrom makes excellent tights - the only pair of mine that I haven't ripped tiny holes in yet!) and a pair of black flats I wear with everything.

Speaking of shoes, I definitely need a pair that go with everything! My black flats are definitely wearing out. I'm looking for something with little to no heel in a neutral color, but nothing has quite caught my eye yet. Of course, there are always these Tory Burch shoes I'm putting on my birthday wishlist... I'm thinking black or red. :)

To end this post, I'll leave you with the stunning Ellie bag by Kooba. I'm a sucker for classic, tried-and-true shapes, so I fell in love with this immediately. It would be the perfect complement to today's outfit. It comes with a hefty price tag of $645, but it's still on Gilt for $248. Get it while the sale lasts!

I wore this outfit to Hebrew School, where I'm a teacher's assistant for a kindergarten class, to hang out with some friends, and to the end-of-season gymnastics banquet. Not the most noteworthy outfit, but I wanted to wear my new peace print scarf that I scored for $5 at Marshall's. :) I wore this with chocolate brown boots and silver jewelry. (Apologies for taking photos in the bathroom - it's the only mirror I have that's tall enough!)

Welcome to Haute Couture! Thanks for reading. My name is Hannah. I'm a high school student who loves fashion. My style is girly, with a little bit of preppy thrown in for good measure.
